It's been over a year since I last posted here and, boy. It's embarrassing to go back and read those old posts. Please don't.

But I'm back now to do the projekt 365 dealio with my sister dearest, [info]jennymaeEnough of me. This is a highly uninteresting post. Mostly a test for a certain mawther. (shout out to said mawther!)

Here are my pictures. Yes, there are two. One for before midnight, and one for after. Though in truth they were both taken after.

Oookay. Nevermind. Hey look! We have returned to normalacy. But I just discovered that LJ, unlike Blogger, does not allow you to upload straight from your files. I am not all that keen on individually, painstakingly uploading each picture to photobucket before posting each day. Nope. Nuh uh.

So. I shall retreat back to my top secret blogger blog. Adieu.

really. quite. random.

young girl

An update in my life for Amelia and Clara, since they've met me, and might be interested.  Might.

five caterpillars are living on my trumpet plant.  one of them has been in a cocoon for several days and i am anticipating yet another butterfly in our garden soon.

for tim, a hawk has been living around our parts of late.  there is a suspicion that he his stalking one of our cats.  but i'm all for that! if it means his spending more time in our backyard.   i'm trying to leave out meat for him, but i doubt it'll work.  he's all pretty though, with a speckled chest.  :)

i technically don't start school until day after labor day [next week], for that is when the other kids will start coming back to our house every day to be home schooled by mom.  but, i started some this week.  this school year is going to be intense for me.  in addition to the regular home school and community college, i've joined this Torrey Academy thing with Biola university.  very scary.  i have a feeling it's all going to kill me, and i can't wait. xD

i babysat [er, pardon me, "kidsat"] my pastor's kids tonight.  i was way nervous leading up to it.  but it wasn't bad at all.  their house was immaculate and their kids were super well behaved.  (cept the youngest is in the temper tantrum stage so i had to ignore him on numerous occasions.)  of course, i wasn't paid, but it was nice to let my pastor and his wife go out on a three and a half hour date without the kidos.  they went to panera bread and the book store.  aww!  such wise choices.

Well, that was just today.  Saturday night was a great contra dance.  My friends Erik and Stephen played the music for the whole thing.  Their band is really starting to come out into the contra dance community.  Yay for them.

Well, off to bed.  I have school tomorrow, and my nephews are coming over in the evening to be babysat.  [they were here yesterday as well.  and i can tell them apart so, they musn't be identical.]

Bombs Make All the Fuss

As you most likely have already heard, four bombs went off in various places across the city of London. This resulted in much confussion along with 42 (give or take) deaths, and 300 wounded. The number keeps going up as more wounded die off and more bodies are found. Three of the explosions took place in underground "tubes", or subways. The fourth was on a small, yet crowded double decker bus. It was rush hour, the flying debre would have lots of close targets to hit.

The double decker bus, surrounded by traffic.

This map is incorrect. Only four bombs went off but since the trains were blown up while enroute they highlight both the major stations which they are inbetween.

You have to remember however that all of those who died were going to die someday anyways. That someday just happened to be today. Thousands of people are dying every second (and even more are being born). Please do not think I am attempting to justify the acts of the terrorists who did this, I am merely stating a true fact, a fact which tends to bring me comfort when experiencing the loss of a someone.

Let us not pray for those who are dead, for there is nothing we can do for those poor wreches now, but let us pray for those who are yet alive. For those all over the world who are lost and do not know the Lord God, Creator of the Universe, the Man who sacrificed His life that they might live. When someone looses someone, their thoughts often drift to the afterlife. "Where do you go when you die?" "Why do we exist?" "How are we made?" This is an exelent time for the Spirit to work on their hearts and lead them to the Truth about the Savior. The world (Satan) will despretly try to conceal this truth and make as many as possible go to Hell but we can use this window of opportunity to reach out and give them hope, it is up to them wether to recieve the Gift or not.
